What does the Catholic Passage mission statement mean?
Our mission statement, “Inspiring Passageways for Christ”, refers to how we wish to enable and help adults develop passageways of faith development and relationships with Jesus, for the next generation. They can also become the passageways themselves! We achieve our mission by supporting parents, educators, and those similarly situated, as
they pass on their Catholic faith and way of life to their children and students.
What is Catholic Passage anyway?
Catholic Passage is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of Catholics, including a group of lay men and women, and in collaboration with clergy, especially our founder and chaplain.
Where is Catholic Passage located?
We can be located anywhere! We are not officially tied to any one diocese, city, state, or region. Our organization was founded in, and is currently led by people residing in, northwest Iowa, USA, but we are not limited to there in our ministry work, vision, or future collaboration and expansion.
What does “Witnesses in Plain Sight” mean?
We utilize this phrase regularly on our website and in our content, as it’s an important facet of our mission. We look to raise up the lay faithful in sharing their stories and being a witness for others, even their children in their own homes. We don’t need to be a public figure or someone with a flashy, wondrous story to be worth sharing of ourselves. Everyday people living out their faith have something to share and are a gift themselves. We seek to empower and highlight these “Witnesses in Plain Sight” among us.
Is your content primarily for children?
Almost all of our content we produce is family-friendly for all ages, but the majority of it is geared towards an adult focus. Parents, guardians, and educators tend to be our target audience. We believe that “first things first,” we must get our own house in order and have an established, faithful, and active relationship with God before we can effectively work to pass on our Catholic faith and way of life to the next generation.
How can I get involved with the work of Catholic Passage?
We always welcome new contributors and collaborators in our mission! Everyone has a gift to share, no matter how small. Whether you are interested in online ministry, becoming an involved member, enabling an in-person event, or just learning more about what we offer, please reach out to us.
